About Lynette
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Lynette Burnette first moved to Cobb County, Georgia at the age of 10, when her father was stationed at Dobbins Air Force Base. She attended McEachern High School until her father was transferred to Virginia. She returned to Cobb County in 1986 and has been a Cobb County resident for over 31 years total, including 17 years in the City of Kennesaw.
The majority of Lynette’s career has been in the aviation industry, starting with Delta. For the last 21 years, she has worked out of Cobb County International holding different positions, to include Director of Marketing, Operations Manager, and working with the development of the airport to a corporate airport/International Customs to bring business aviation departments as their client base. Currently, she works for Aviation Development Group as a corporate flight attendant.
Aside from serving on Council, Lynette’s community involvement includes preparing meals with her church for a local women’s shelter. Both Lynette’s son and daughter were raised in Cobb County and all seven of her grandchildren were born at Wellstar Kennestone. Lynette says “my seven grandchildren are my heart and soul!”
